Melao Bakery

In Elements and Principles of Design, students redesigned a storefront to amplify the brand’s story, culture, and presence. Through materials, color, and spatial layout, the project turned the facade into an immersive narrative that invites visitors to connect with the brand before they even step inside.

Janira Torres and Eduardo Colón founded Melao Bakery and opened their first location in Kissimmee in 2008 after moving from Puerto Rico.

Born from the heart, Melao is motivated by faith and a commitment to the community, aiming to offer more than food- an experience that nourishes both the palate and the soul.
